Transforming One Day At A Time 2:4
I know this is TMI, but after 11 days of waiting Aunt Flow has finally blessed me with her monthly curse from hell.
After spending all this time with discomfort and symptoms, its a relief to know that it will actually end soon!
Which explains why I'm so tired, why I'm so sensitive, and why I've been so uncomfortable.
But on another note, I shamelessly took a selfie last week just so I can use it to see how my transformation is becoming.
It might not seem like much, but in one week my face has already changed, for the better.
If this is what one week looks like, I can't wait to see 1 month!
Today my office also had lunch catered.
They had Chinese food. Now, I'm not the biggest fan of Chinese food to begin with. I have to be in the mood to eat it.
However, all I had was 2 pieces of broccoli.
THATS IT!
While the whole office scrambled to make plates and put them aside, I cared less.
This feeling is something that I struggled to obtain for so long. And I've finally gotten to that place.
I really started my fitness journey a long time ago. In 2015 I lost a significant amount of weight.
Like crazy weight loss!!
In 2016, I went on birth control. Between the birth control, and stress that went on in my life I gained so much of that weight back.
In March 2017 I just stopped taking my birth control. I didn't see a need for me to take it. I wasn't happy while I was on it. I struggled to lose weight, and in fact, I was gaining weight.
So I stopped. And shortly after, I was actually able to start losing weight.
But less than a month of getting off the pill, I had my gallbladder removed.
I lost some weight while recovering from my surgery, but my body wasn't sure how to process foods. And I gained weight back.
So now it's been 3 1/2 months living the gall-less life, and my body is ready to get back on track.
And so far, it's responding!
I'm not sure where my journey will take me, but I'm feeling positive outcomes only! ✌️
Here's what I ate:
Breakfast-
1/2 cup of oatmeal
1/2 banana
1/2 of egg whites
1 tbsp of salsa
iced coffee with 2 tbsp of creamer
Snack 1-
10 almonds
(I took a bite of my apple, and it was all bruised inside so I tossed it)
Lunch-
6oz grilled chicken
1cup of squash
1/2 cup of pink beans
2 pieces of broccoli
Dinner-
4.80oz grilled chicken
1 cup of broccoli
1/2 cup of pink beans
Snack 2:
1 Chobani Greek Yogurt - Watermelon (frozen!!)
Workout:
1 hour on the elliptical = 4.64 miles (after my workout, I'm glad I made the decision to only do cardio since my left thigh is in some discomfort)
