Week 3 (Jan 19, 2015 - Jan 25, 2015)

Monday: All week long I count every calorie that enters my body, I cut every carb, starch and sugar that I can from my diet.  As well as work out 6 days a week for 1 hour. Last week I weighed in at 211.8 this week..... 208.9 lbs! I'll be honest the 2.9 lb weight loss is a bit disheartening after last weeks 12.6 lb. I've busted my butt in every way possible to lose as much as I can.  I've subjected myself to taking 1 tbsp of Apple Cider Vinegar after EVERY meal and snack. And trust me, I HATE this stuff! I've inquired about frequent flyer miles for all my various trips to the bathroom since I drink about a gallon of water every day. But I was told that all I could obtain is a nice collection of toilet paper cardboard tubes. I should figure out a craft off pintrest with them.... ~*~ Tuesday: I didn't make it to class because I didn't get much sleep the night before. So, instead I did 3 miles just shy of 1 hour.  I really pushed myself this day....

Monday was weigh in day. If you remember correctly, last week I started off at 224.4 lbs. This week........ 211.8!!! I am FLOORED at the amount of weight I have lost in just one week! Besides losing 12.6 lbs I also started a boot camp class. I had purchased a monthly membership on Groupon.com  for Better Body Bootcamp (in Bayside, NY). When I walked into class, I was nervous and scared. I wasn't sure what to expect, and I was quite fearful of the pain that I knew my body was going to be in. But I worked hard, pushed myself when I needed to be pushed, but I also listened to my body for when I needed to. Needless to say, I was sore when I went to bed that night. ~*~ Tuesday's class focused on your core. I have such a weak core from dropping the ball with exercise and  gaining all this weight that it was a challenging class for me. I tend to have a lot of back pain, but I remember that when I was working out in the past, and had a stronger core I didn't h...

Have you ever worked so hard for something, but life happened and you screwed it all up? That's what has happened to me. Hi, I'm Jess. I feel like I am forever battling a weight problem. I come from a family of food addicts. My whole life my entire family battled with this.  But growing up I was always "thin" and I was fit. When I say "thin" I don't mean that I was ever a size 2. I was about a size 9 throughout High School. And I was okay with that. I was always active, and I would even go as far to say athletic. I played sports all my life and I was always outside playing. I had joined the military and was in the best shape of my life. For once I had a two pack of abs! How cool was that?! But while I was in the military I started to gain weight. It wasn't too bad, but I wasn't at my boot camp graduation weight.  Then add in a pregnancy and a horrible marriage and I ballooned. I took to food like my family had their whole life and used ...
